Update July 1 2009: Round x+1
Back at it.
A bit of background: My tablet seems to corrupt memory cards, which has kept me from participating effectively in emerging community projects like Mer (the Ubuntu-derived successor to Deblet, now slated for inclusion as an upstream project in Karmic Koala) and Mamona.
Every 6 months or so, I revisit the issue. Yesterday I got further than ever before, with a fully-imaged and booting Mer 0.12 image, however after flashing the 48MHz SDHC kernel I again experienced massive corruption.
Now I’m about to try something a bit drastic . . .
Duh nunununuh dun dUN – internally mounted SD card!
I like the one using contacts from an ISA card in the comments.
Hopefully a standard SD card won’t have corruption problems (although it seems more likely that the 770 card slot is just F’d – trying to be optimistic anyway)
